Making it at the Formula One

How YLD Designs went from one popular garment to being worn by an influencer at the Formula1.
It’s a great story how this came to be.

The label started as one gorgeous green formal dress. The owner Calani, designed her own outfit for a ball she was attending and then listed the dress for rent on the High Street Runway (HSR) App. It became an instant HIT! The dress pictured above speaks for itself… the flattering cut, quality fabric, and eye-catching colour had many young renters itching to wear the dress to their next formal or ball. Seeing how popular it was, we approached Calani and asked if she was serious about turning her designs into a label and expanding her range to new designs that could be available to rent on the App.

We were instantly impressed with Calani’s designer garments and saw great potential for her fashion career. YLD Designs was the very first young designer to join our ‘First Collection’ program exclusively offering users the ability to rent the dresses on the App. Her popular Green Satin Bias dress was made available in pink and very quickly became rented out almost every weekend. It was clear our users loved that they were able to rent something exclusive and never seen before. We suggested she enguage an agent to manage her rentals giving her more time to do what she does best, designing. Soon enough, YLD became a label that was being worn by girls all over Australia thanks to the ease of renting and exposure from High Street Runway. Currently, there are over 30 YLD Designs outfits on the App.

YLD Designs has recently just launched their very own website, where users who love the label can finally purchase the dresses, a massive milestone for Calani. Recently, successful Brisbane ‘It girl’ and influencer, Isabella Gray, was spotted wearing the popular Green Satin Bias dress at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne!

It really is amazing to see such a young designer, within only her first year, have grown so much and be a loved label by so many.
