It would be easy to assume you're into fashion if you are reading this blog (I mean clearly because you hire from HSR). I have grown up loving fashion too, my mum was constantly criticising my need to hire a new outfit for an event. So, getting to be part of the High Street Runway fashion shoot last week was a very exciting day to say the least. Not just for me but more importantly for the App. Unbeknown to everyone, the HSR team actually planned this shoot in one week. And if you follow us on social media you’d see that it kinda turned out amazing. So how did we do it...?
Arriving at the High Street Runway Headquarters (Jo’s house) our models were already starting to spill in. We managed to book the incredible fashion photographer, Nicolas Azar, who was already scouting locations around the house when I arrived. He definitely had a difficult job, Azar who most likely photographed at scouted locations, was tasked with shooting 50 outfits around the one house. However, we wanted our images to be organic and taken as though the girls were getting ready for a long lunch or the races. I mean that is what High Street Runway is all about, giving you girls a last minute jaw-dropping outfit for any event.
As the different shops started to arrive, our models were dressed and photographed by Azar. On an extremely tight schedule, the models were dressed quickly in and out the different outfits. Each shop was allowed to have five outfits shot, therefore many opted for their on-trend newly released outfits to be photographed.
As the day swiftly rolled on more shops and stunning new models arrived. Dressed in party fits, formal dresses, floral looks, and casual numbers, the girls wowed the team at HSR, and Azar ended with some great shots. If there is one thing that High Street Runway can do, it is execute a makeshift photoshoot and have it turn out incredible. In just one day we had wrapped 50 outfits from 12 different shops. Thanks to some great (very hot) sunlight and naturally photogenic (me not so much) girls we were able to get some authentic content for both the App and our shops.
